Christmas classic 'It's a Wonderful Life'

It's a Wonderful Life

On December 15th, ODEON cinemas will be showing matineee and evening screenings of Christmas classic, 'It's a Wonderful Life'

Often cited as one of the best-loved films ever made, It's a Wonderful Life still has as much of a hold on the emotional heartstrings as ever and is a joy to see up on the big screen. Fantasy, philosophy, and much heart-warming chronicling of the every-day lives of every-day people are foremost in Capra's tale about a man who gets the chance to see what the world would have been like without him.

'It's a Wonderful Life' will be shown at select ODEON cinemas in the UK and Ireland.  Find the cinema near you where you can enjoy the ultimate Christmas classic on the big screen.

Christmas culture:  The Royal Ballet's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

On December 16th, ODEON will be showing The Royal Ballet's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland live!

Christopher Wheeldon's full-length ballet based on Lewis Carroll's book is an exuberant piece of storytelling featuring an instantly recognizable cast of characters, among them a tap-dancing Mad Hatter, a tetchy White Rabbit and a raucously bad-tempered Queen of Hearts

Bolshoi Live:  The Nutcracker

Bolshi The Nutcracker

On December 21st, ODEON will be showing The Bolshoi's The Nutcracker live!

On Christmas Eve, Marie's godfather, gives her a wooden nutcracker carved in the shape of a little man. At midnight, when the celebrations are over, all the toys magically come to life. Based on E. T. A. Hoffmann's story, The Nutcracker is one of the greatest classics in the world.

This choreographic version, created for the Bolshoi by Yuri Grigorovich, is full of romanticism and philosophical reflections on ideal love. Masterfully interpreted by the Bolshoi dancers, it will enchant the whole family for the festive season, proving that one is never too young or too old to be swept away by The Nutcracker.
