Location Of Cinema
ODEON Bournemouth is located on Westover Road, a sloped one way main road with a pedestrian crossing. The town?s main bus stop is located approximately 300 metres away, along with a local taxi rank. The nearest train station is approximately 1 mile away.
Although there is no car park available, there is limited street parking and parking in the opposite council owned pay and display Pavilion car park; there are limited Blue Badge parking spaces.
The taxi and car drop off point is at any point along Westover Road.
Access To The Cinema
Wheelchair access to the cinema is via a push/pull door. There is access via a ramp which will take you up into the main foyer of the cinema. There is an assistance bell outside by the main entrance doors if the help of staff member is needed. All other building access is via steps.
Narrow clearance around the refreshments stand and ticket machines cause access problems at busy times. Due to sharp, narrow corners, large mobility scooters will not be able to access the cinema. If you require any assistance, please ask a member of the team.
Guest seating is available in the Ben & Jerry?s Cafe before entering Screens.
Male and female washrooms are available within the main foyer via a ramp; however these are not a fully accessible for Wheelchair users. There is a fully accessible washroom by the entrance to Screen 5.
Access Within Screens
Screens 1 and 2 are not accessible to Wheelchair users or those with limited mobility as there is no lift service; access is only via a large staircase which does have handrails. The entry to Screen 1 is further stepped.
There is a front section to Screen 1 and further seating at the back. There are four aisles; two on the sides as well as two middle aisles, all parallel to each other with no access to handrails. In Screen 2 there are two aisles either side of the seating; the aisles are stepped with handrails available.
Screen 3 is accessible through a series of ramps. The Screen has two double Wheelchair bays with two adjacent companion seats either side. The access can be quite tight to the bays, which are towards the back of the screen.
Screens 4 and 5 are accessible through a series ramps. The Screens each have one single Wheelchair bay at the back, both with adjacent companion seating. Each Screen has only one outer aisle which is sloped with a handrail.
Screen 6 is accessible through a series ramps. It has three Wheelchair bays; two double bays at the front of the screen and one single bay in the middle on the far left of the auditorium. The Screen has three aisles; two outer and one central, dividing the seats into two blocks. The Premier Seats are a central strip across the entire auditorium. The aisles are sloped, but have no handrails.
Location of Washroom Facilities
Male and Female washrooms are available within the main foyer via a ramp, however these are not a fully accessible for Wheelchair users. There is a fully accessible washroom by the entrance to Screen 5.
