Driving Directions

The ODEON cinema is located at the Red Dragon Centre near to the city centre.

From the A48 follow Newport Road towards the city centre (past Cardiff Royal Infirmary). At the next set of traffic lights turn left into Fitzallen Street and follow the road round to the next set of traffic lights. Bear right at these lights and then immediately left into the filter lane for Central Link Road. At the roundabout ahead turn right and at the next roundabout turn left into the ODEON car park.

From the M4 exit at junction 33, follow the A4232 for approximately 8 miles. At the roundabout turn left and at the next roundabout turn left again into the ODEON car park.
The centre has introduced "Pay Parking" for people who park in our Car Park without visiting a tenant in the complex but ALL guests to ODEON still have free parking. However you must get your ticket validated in the cinema prior to leaving the complex.

Trains:
Trains run between Cardiff Queens Street Station and Bute Street Station, which are a few minutes walk from Red Dragon Centre. For train information call 08457 48 49 50.

Disabled facilities

Location Of Cinema
ODEON Cardiff is located on the ground floor within the Red Dragon Centre. The Number 6 bus stops just outside the centres car park which is approximately 50 metres from the main entrance and has level access through to the mall area itself. The nearest train station to the cinema is Cardiff Bay which is approximately 100 metres from the main entrance.

The Red Dragon Centre car park is all on one level and has 40 Blue Badge parking spaces.

The taxi and car drop off point is located just outside the centres front entrance, and is subject to a twenty five minute waiting time before car park charges apply.

Access To The Cinema
The access to the main entrance of the cinema is level with automatic opening doors. There is level access to the box office kiosk and ticket machines. The counters on our refreshments stand and Ben & Jerry?s stands have low level counters for Wheelchair users. If you require any assistance, please ask a member of the team.

There is guest seating available within Costa Coffee in the main foyer, and also in the Gallery bar area. This is only accessible for Gallery ticket holders.

Male and female washrooms are located on the ground floor within the main foyer, with fully accessible washrooms located outside the entrances to Screens 3 and 10. Another two accessible washrooms are available via lift outside the rear access to Screens 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Access Within Screens
Gallery Screen 18 is the only Screen at ODEON Cardiff not fully accessible; all other Screens are fully accessible. There is no need to use a lift, unless guests would like to sit at the back of the Screen, where there are limited seats in Screens 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8, these spaces are fully accessible with access via a lift. All Gallery Screens will need to be accessed via lift or stairs with access to handrails. Screen 1 is the IMAX Screen.

Screen 1 has one double Wheelchair bay and two single Wheelchair bays at the front of the screen, they have adjacent companion seating. The aisles to the back of the auditorium are stepped with access to handrails. Access to the rear seats is possible via lift. Please contact a member of the team for more information.

Screens 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11 have three single bays at the front of the screen with no access to the rear of the Screen for Wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility.

Screens 5, 6, 7 and 8 have two double Wheelchair bays with adjacent companion seating at the front of the Screen. There are steps to back of the auditorium, but access to the rear seats is possible via lift. Please contact a member of the team for more information.

Screen 12 has accessible seating located in the middle of the screen where there are seven single Wheelchair bays with companion seating. The back of the auditorium is stadium style seating with access via a handrail.

Screens 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 are the cinemas Gallery Screens. All these Screens are accessed via lift or stairs with access to handrails. Screen 13 has two single Wheelchair bays with companion seating to the rear of the Screen. Screen 14 has three single Wheelchair bays at the rear of the Screen with adjacent companion seating. Screens 15, 16 and 17 have four single Wheelchair bays available at the back of the auditorium, with access to companion seating.

Screen 18 is the only Gallery not accessible to Wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility due to steps down into the Gallery area.

Location of Washroom Facilities
Male and female washrooms are located on the ground floor towards the entrances to the Screens, with fully accessible washrooms located outside the entrances to Screens 3 and 10. Another two accessible washrooms are available outside the rear access to Screens 5, 6, 7 and 8.

At ODEON Cardiff we have hearing loops available. These can be used together with a hearing aid. Please see film listings where films should be marked as AD (Audio
Description.)

To collect a AD hearing loop please ask any member of staff. If you are
collecting tickets at box office then please ask for them at the same time.
These are locked away and can be brought to you whilst in the foyer."
