The cinema is easily accessible by road from Parkway via Odeon roundabout by taking the turning for the Meadows multi-storey car park. The cinema is directly opposite the car park. The easiest route is along Duke Street and down Chelmsford High Street to the Meadows shopping centre.

Driving Directions

From the North, follow parkway to the ODEON roundabout, take first left from roundabout, and first left again this will lead into the multi-story car park opposite the cinema.

From the South, from the A1114 go onto the army and navy roundabout. Either take the flyover or go straight ahead onto parkway. At the next roundabout turn right, and then sharp left. Take the first right, this will lead into the multi-story car park opposite the cinema.

From the East, come off the A12 at the Chelmsford turning this will bring you through Chelmer village. At the mini roundabout continue strait ahead towards the army and navy roundabout, take the 4th exit onto parkway. At the next (ODEON) roundabout turn right, followed by a sharp left. Take the next right which will lead into the multi story car park opposite the cinema.

From the West, from Miami roundabout (Tesco's) take Princes Road (past the school) follow this all the way down to the army & navy roundabout from here take the first left onto Parkway. At the next roundabout turn right, and then sharp left. Take the first road on the right which will lead around to the multi storey car park opposite the cinema.

There is a multi storey car park opposite the cinema, and another 'flat' car park next to that. In the unlikely event that these two should be full there is another multi storey further along parkway at the top of the High street.

Local train station is a 10 minute walk, buses stop on Parkway which is a 2 minute walk away.

Location Of Cinema
ODEON Chelmsford is located on the Kings Head Walk near to the Meadows Centre. The Chelmsford Duke Street train station is approximately a five minute walk from the cinema.

The Meadows Centre pay and display multi story car park is directly opposite the cinema with further pay and display parking run by the local Council around the corner; approximately a five minute walk away. Both car parks have Blue Badge spaces available, although these can be limited at busy times.

The Meadows Centre has mobility scooter hire which can be arranged with the centre on request.

There are double yellow lines outside the cinema itself, so the best taxi and car drop off point will be on Baddow Street just before the turning to the cinema, approximately a three minute walk away.

Access To The Cinema
As you enter the cinema there is a slope with double automatic doors. There is level access for the box office, refreshments stand and ticket machines. If you require any further assistance, please ask a member of the team. Screens 1, 2 and 3 are on the ground floor, with Screens 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 on the second floor. The first floor is where the washrooms for the second floor Screens are located. The upper levels can be accessed via lift, or alternatively via stairs with access to handrails. If you require any assistance, please ask a member of the team.

Guest seating is available within the Costa Coffee located on the ground floor.

Male and female washrooms are situated on the ground floor and first floor, with fully accessible washrooms located adjacent to them. Please be aware a Radar Key will be needed to access these; please ask a member of the team for assistance.

Access Within Screens
All Screens at the ODEON Chelmsford are fully accessible. Screens 1, 2 and 3 are on the ground floor, with Screens 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 on the second floor. The first floor is where the washrooms for the second floor Screens are located. The upper levels can be accessed via lift, or alternatively stairs with access to handrails.

Screen 1, 4 and 5 are divided into three blocks by two parallel aisles with steps down towards the Screen; there are no handrails. Screen 1 has two single and one double Wheelchair bays with adjacent companion seating at the rear of the auditorium. Screens 4 and 5 have two single Wheelchair bays at the rear of the Screen with companion seating.

Screens 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8 have one main central aisle that is stepped down towards the Screen; there are no handrails. Screen 8 has two single Wheelchair spaces at the rear of the auditorium with adjacent companion seating, whilst Screens 2, 3, 6 and 7 have double Wheelchair bays.

Location of Washroom Facilities
Male and female washrooms are situated on the ground floor and first floor, with fully accessible washrooms located adjacent to them. Please be aware a Radar Key will be needed to access these; please ask a member of the team for assistance.
