Location Of Cinema
ODEON Dumfries is a standalone building sharing the cinemas premises with Gala Bingo. The cinema is situated on an intersection of Shakespeare Street and English Street. The closest bus stop to the Cinema is located opposite the DG1 leisure complex, just around the corner; approximately two minutes walk form the cinemas entrance. Dumfries train station is less than a ten minute walk to the cinema.
The cinema has its own private car park located just behind the cinemas building, accessed via side alley. No car parking spaces are marked out,
There is no designated taxi or car drop off point, the best possible point would be behind the cinema within the car park. Taxi and car drop off is possible outside the cinemas entrance, but please be aware that double yellow lines run the length of the street outside the cinema.
Access To The Cinema
ODEON Dumfries is not currently accessible to Wheelchair users or those with limited mobility due to the nature of the venue.
The entrance to the cinema is just off of Shakespeare Street via a small step and then through double push/pull glass doors. The walkway within the building to the cinema has a slightly raised incline and is on the left hand side of the entrance; fixed wall handrails are available.
The ground floor compromises of a box office and ticket machine, with stairs to the left and right taking you to the first floor where the refreshments stand and Screen 1 is situated; handrails are available on the stairs. All general areas have level access, but stairs are necessary to navigate for access to the first floor and Screen 1. If you require any assistance, please ask a member of the team.
Currently the cinema has no specified guest seating area.
The left hand stairs within the foyer will take you to the first floor via the male washroom, with the right hand stairs taking you via the female washroom.

Access Within Screens
The Screen within the ODEON Dumfries is currently not accessible to Wheelchair users or those with limited mobility as there is only access via stairs with handrails.
Screen 1 is divided into three blocks of seats by two parallel aisles; two further aisles are situated by the auditorium walls with access to handrails. The Screen has stadium style seating, with stepped aisles to the rear of the auditorium. A front flat section of seats is available is at the front of the Screen.
Location of Washroom Facilities
The washrooms are located on the stairs between the first floor and ground floor. The left side stairs take you via the male washroom, with the right hand side via the female washroom.
