Location Of Cinema
ODEON Norwich is located on the Riverside Leisure Complex.
The cinema is approximately a five minute walk from the local Norwich train station, located round the corner on Thorpe Road. The train station has regular bus services running to and from the city centre as well as from the University situated on the far side of the city. A local taxi rank is also situated at the train station.
The cinema is approximately a fifteen minute walk from the Norwich city centre.
There is a large multi storey car park adjacent to the cinema. Guests are entitled to four hours free parking if the car park ticket is stamped when cinema tickets are purchased from the box office. The car park has multiple Blue Badge parking spaces on all levels.
The nearest taxi and car drop off point is on Wherry Road on approach to the cinema within the Riverside Leisure Complex; this may not always have public access during busy shopping periods. If Wherry Road is not accessible, the next drop off point is outside the Norwich train station; approximately five minutes walk from the cinema.
Access To The Cinema
The access to the main entrance of the cinema is at street level with access to the foyer via automatic doors.
The box office, refreshments stand, ticket machines, Ben and Jerry?s and Ambar Lounge are all on the ground floor, with level access to all counters and Screens. Lowered counters and ticket machines are available for Wheelchair users. If you require any assistance, please ask a member of the team.
The Gallery area is situated on the first floor, access is via lift or stairs with handrails. Screens 15, 16, 17 and 18 are the cinemas Gallery Screens. Screen 16 is not accessible for Wheelchair users or those with limited mobility; it can only be accessed via stairs with handrails.
Guest seating is available within the Ambar Lounge situated on the ground floor. Further seating is available in the Gallery bar area on the first floor. This is only accessible for Gallery ticket holders.
Male and female washrooms are located down the corridors towards the Screen entrances. Fully accessible washrooms are adjacent the standard washrooms. Washrooms for the Gallery are located in the Gallery bar area just outside the auditorium entrances, including a fully accessible washroom.
Access Within Screens
All the Screens at ODEON Norwich are fully accessible with Wheelchair bays available. Screens 1 to 14 are all accessed from the ground floor with no steps; there is a slight ramp into Screens 6 and 8. Screen 7 is the IMAX Screen.
The Gallery area is situated on the first floor, access is via lift or stairs with handrails. Screens 15, 16, 17 an 18 are the Gallery Screens. Screen 16 is not accessible for Wheelchair users or those with limited mobility; it can only be accessed via stairs with handrails. The first floor also serves as rear entrances to Screens 2, 7, 8 and 13.
All the auditoriums have stadium style seating with stepped aisles; there is a handrail on each aisle. The aisles are located on either side of the seats. Due to the stadium style nature of the auditoriums, all Wheelchair bays are at the front of the Screens.
Screens 1, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 all have two blocks of seating with two parallel stepped aisles.
Screens 2 and 7 consist of three blocks of seats divided by two parallel stepped aisles.
Screens 3 and 4 have one block of seats with stepped aisles either side against the auditorium walls.
Screens 1 to 6 and 8 to 14 all have four single Wheelchair bays situated at the front of the auditorium.
Screens 2, 8 and 13 have one single Wheelchair bay at the rear of the auditorium accessible from the rear of the Screen via the first floor. The first floor can be accessed via lift or stairs with handrails.
Screen 7 is the only Screen with Wheelchair bays only at the back of the auditorium, accessed from the first floor. The Screen has three single Wheelchair bays. Please ask a member of the team for details.
All Wheelchair bays have adjacent companion seating available.
Screens 15, 16, 17 and 18 are the cinemas Gallery Screens. All these Screens are situated on the first floor and are accessed via lift or stairs with access to handrails. Screens 15, 17 and 18 have access to one Wheelchair bay with adjacent companion seating.
Screen 16 is the only Gallery not accessible to Wheelchair users or those with limited mobility; it can only be accessed via stairs with handrails.
