Location Of Cinema
ODEON Southend is located at the top end of Southend High Street next to the Victoria Plaza Shopping Centre. Southend Victoria train station is opposite the rear of the cinema with Southend Central train station approximately a five minute walk away down the high street. As the cinema is in the centre of Southend, multiple bus stops and routes are available all around the cinemas location. A taxi rank is available on London Road just outside the Victoria Plaza Shopping Centre.
The two main routes into Southend are via the A127, from the North, and via the A13 from the East. All signs post to the town centre and will direct you straight to us.
The cinema does not have its own car park. The nearest car park is a part of the Victoria Plaza Shopping Centre next door to the cinema. The car park has multiple Blue Badge parking spaces available.
Taxi and car drop off is possible on London Road towards the Victoria Plaza Shopping Centre, approximately a two minute walk from the cinemas entrance.
Access To The Cinema
The entrance of the cinema has two sets of automatic doors and four sets of push/pull doors. The box office is right next to the front doors and the ticket machines are on the right as you enter. After the box office there are stairs and a ramp that have handrails, which lead down to the refreshments stand and Ben & Jerry?s counter. If you require any assistance, please ask a member of the team.
Guest seating areas are available on all levels (ground floor, first floor and second floor.)
Male and female washrooms are available on the ground floor and second floor, with fully accessible washrooms adjacent. First floor auditoriums, Screens 3 and 4 should use either the ground floor or first floor washrooms.
Access Within Screens
All the Screens at ODEON Southend are fully accessible with Wheelchair bays available. Screens 1 and 2 are situated on the ground floor, with no need to use a lift. Screens 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are accessed via a lift and stairs with handrails. Screens 3 and 4 are accessed initially by lift or by stairs to the first floor where there is a small foyer and a seating area. Screens 5, 6, 7 and 8 are accessed initially by lift or by stairs to the second floor.
All the auditoriums have three blocks of seats with two parallel aisles dividing the seating.
Screens 1 and 2 have a slight sloping ramp up to the back of the Screen. Screens 3, 4, 6 and 7 open straight out to the back of the auditorium. Screens 5 and 8 have stairs leading to the back of the auditorium with access to handrails; a separate level access corridor is available for access to the front of the auditorium where the Wheelchair bays are located. All the Screens have stepped aisles.
All screens have Wheelchair bays. Screens 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 have one double Wheelchair bay at the back of the auditorium.
Screens 5 and 8 have Wheelchair bays at the front of each Screen. Screen 5 has four single Wheelchair bays, and Screen 8 has two single Wheelchair bays.
All Wheelchair bays have adjacent companion seating available.
