Britain's Biggest Screen
Education at the BFI IMAX
Bring your class to the BFI IMAX for the ultimate film experience. IMAX films provide a great mix of entertainment and education, making them the perfect accompaniment to the curriculum. We have a wide variety of titles themed around topics that correspond to the curriculum. During term time you can choose exclusive screening times that suit you, plus receive discounted prices on popcorn. We also offer full feature films, which offer alternative approaches to the curriculum and make for an unforgettable day out of the classroom.
Educational IMAX Films
We can arrange special morning screenings exclusively for schools and colleges; teachers can select the film they want screened from our available film stock. We require the booking to be for a minimum of 40 people. These screenings are usually timed at 10:30am or 11:45am Monday to Friday, but we can be flexible on this. These times are set for IMAX titles, although screenings of full-feature films can be arranged. Bookings for schools and colleges can also be made for any of our public screenings, which start from early afternoon through to late evening.
For traditional IMAX films, which last from 40 to 50 minutes, the admission prices are as follows:
| Traditional IMAX | Price |
| Pupils aged 16 & under | £4.00 |
| Students aged 17 & over | £5.50 |
| 1 teacher free per 10 pupils | FREE |
| Additional teacher | £5.95 |
The full list of available titles can be found later in this document.
