All these negative reviews what's going on? I thought it was fantastic just like the rest of the franchise and David Yates had to be commended for a remarkable effort. I was apprehensive at how he would pull this film off as I thought the book was the weakest of the seven, but he did yes there is a lot missing like Quidditch and it does fly through at bewitching speed, but I was happy with the content that was put in, though the death of Sirius Black was a bit quick. This was very funny with superb special effects and excellent acting particularly Helen Boham Carter and the delightful Imelda Stauton who played Umbridge(my most favorite scene of her is when Fred and George Weasley release those fireworks in the exam and the fire dragon goes after Umbridge as she runs down the hall, it had me in stiches) just like with the other four film the casting of the actors/actresses is perfect and the usual great acting Radcliffe, Watson and Grint. Another thing I liked was that it was more mature and darker than previous ones as Harry and his friends find themselves entering adulthood and also how important information relevant to the film was done via newspaper captions. All in all this is another terrific Potter movie to add to the franchise. Well done Mr. Yates! Roll on number six!

Great!

Harry goes from strength to strength

Another year, another Potter film for book fans to moan and kids bums to go numb! It is possible to say that the Harry Potter franchise gets stronger and stronger with each passing film. As the characters grow older so do the story lines and as the books get longer so the adaptations have more and more to choose from - and chose wisely they did! The film has a completely different feel than previous Potter's, the edge has been taken off the fun factor and things are becoming a little more serious, rightly so for our characters are now young adults. But what stole the show for me was that finally, we get to see what wizards really do in action and it looked fantastic! The little details on the Wizards Duel are astonising, right down to Dumbeldore's cloak billowing around his ankles. This film has finally touched the surface of what wizards and films are capable of.
