Not too bad, but not up to the hype

This was an enjoyable film with an interesting story line. I did however expect more given all the advance hype. Overall though enjoyed the experience.

as my heading suggests this film is rubbish. i was truly diassapointed. i should have never built my hopes up! haven't read the books though- if you have let me know what it's like. Nicole Kidman in my opinion is one of the greats! she should never have agreed to do this movie.
PS The hours is the most beautiful film in the world.

Good adaptation of the book

If I read a book I generally dont go to see a screen adaptation as they are generally poor imitations, where the audience is assumed to have no imagination so everything has to be explained to them, but thankfully this was not a bad attempt. A good balance of C.G.I. and Live action, though the Bear fight was a little gruesome for a coupel of the kids that went with me. Slightly poor ending but remained fairly true to the book. Looking forward to the final two books to be brought to screen.
