What´s the plot? ‘Persepolis’ is the story of Marianne, a nine year old school girl in the midst of the Islamic revolution. She discovers groups like ABBA and Iron Maiden which help her make sense of the conflict at the time, but when her uncle is killed her family make a tough decision and send her away to school in Austria.

Whilst she struggles to fit in, and constantly fights off the stereotypes, she decides to go back home after high school.
