What´s the plot?
This is no ordinary spy story.
‘The Champagne Spy’ is a documentary looking at the life of ex-Mossad spy, Ze’ev Gur Arie. In 1965 he was sent on a mission to Egypt to discover information about scientists creating weapons that could threaten Israel. But under the charade of an ex Nazi German millionaire and all the extravagancies that followed, he was ultimately exposed and stood trial to face the death sentence.
‘The Champagne Spy’ is a rare story of the Israeli secret service, and features other Mossad agents talking in great detail about the operation.
