From director John Woo, the story of ‘Red Cliff’ tells the story of the biggest battle the world has ever seen. In 208 AD China, when the land of Wu is invaded by warlord Cao Cao and one million soldiers, two kingdoms form an alliance, relying on their wisdom and strategy to try and defeat the huge army.
Fighting on land and water the war culminated in the battle of ‘Red Cliff’, where two thousand ships were burnt and China was changed forever.

Silly film
First, I cannot image in late Roman time, the Chinese kingdoms have invent gunpower...
Second, I also cannot image in that time, the formation of Roman legion have known and used by Chinese kingdoms...
Third, I really don\\\'t think the generals (or heros) in China in that time are superman; they, and everyone, will die absolutely if they surround by tons of enemies. But in this film, a few generals are iron man....
Please enjoy this film without any historical and cultural knowledge.
