I've never reviewed a movie before but I just had to defend this film from the bad reviews. I myself was not looking forward to this film after reading the reviews but I always like to see a movie and make my own mind up. Well.... what can I say, I was blown away from start to finish. This film was AMAZING, well thought out and well delivered film. I expected to be bored to tears but I was glued to my seat. Small minds and braindead people will probably be bored but it really is superb, give it a chance, everything makes sense at the end. Excellent twist at the end, cant wait to buy on blu-ray.

The Book of Eli presents itself as an exciting and innovative plot in the post-apocalyptic genre. The world has been torn by 'the flash' and the few survivors either huddle together in settlements or become bandits like medieval England.

The film works on the premise that there is a book which will help to save mankind and change it for the better. It is the only one in existence and one man protects it.

It would be interesting were it not for the unnecessary drama and gore that comes with it. It focuses more on action and suspense than a plot or scripting. The acting, at best, is mediocre and Denzel Washington doesn't seem right for the role.
