A great insight into a remarkable person
As the story of 'Coco' Chanel unfolded, I couldn't help but marvel at how a woman with this sort of background could go on to be the founder multi billion empire that is still in existence today, at a time when women rarely did such things. You also see sharply what a social revolution she was starting with the contrast of her trousers versus the fussy restrictive clothes of the day. For a fashion fan it was a thrill to see Chanel's inspirations being depicted. We came out of the cinema and saw a shop window inspired by Chanel - now that's almost 100 years later. Not bad and the film does a good job at capturing the spirit of the woman who inspired this longevity.
