not as moving or disturbing as Eden lake or Gran Torino

Firstly, shame on Odeon Covent Garden for playing more than 30 min of utter rubbish ads and so few trailers. I made my complaint to the manager afterwards.
Michael Caine is brilliant as the elderly hero, but when it comes to the cops and their acting, terrible. Emily Mortimer is mortifyingly dull and so was her cop partner.
This is a good story and the ending isn't bad, but when it comes to films making statements about our slowly-rotting society I suggest the likes of EDEN LAKE, Gran TORINO or french cult film La HAINE(1990's).
What these movies did manage to achieve was to leave you wondering about their ending for a long time afterwards, and about the youth of today.
Harry Brown however meerly entertains and never goes beyond that.
Living myself in London and working with kids such as the ones portrayed in this film, this could have had a bigger impact on me.
Shame it didn't.

Reflections of Realism

Superb! What more can I say? This is one of the best roles I have seen Michael Caine in - he just gets better and better.
The gritty realism of this film is hard-hitting, but enjoyable. A well stitched together story that opens the door on a world that I (thankfully) have never experienced first hand.
The opening scenes leave you wondering what is coming next and might lead you to question the standard of the film to come, but don't be mislead: stay in your seat and you will be rewarded with a compelling tale.

What if Harry Brown is not just a film but real?

What a great story! But blood to blood is not supposed to be done by anybody. We all should leave it to justice, to law. After I left cinema, the night coming down, hoodies everywhere, but no Mr.Harry Brown. I changed my mind, I really wish he is here.
