Winner of the Cannes Film Festival Grand Prix, ‘A Prophet’ tells the story of 19-year-old Malik El Djbena who has been condemned to six years in prison.
Alone and much younger than the other convicts, Malik is cornered by the leader of the Corsican gang, who rules the prison, and given a series of missions to carry out. As he completes each task, Malik gains the gang leaders confidence and respect.
However, Malik – who learns fast and is becoming fearless – begins to develop his own secret plans.
Contains strong bloody violence and very strong language.
