What's the plot?

Starring George Clooney, who also co-wrote the screenplay and directed, ‘The Ides of March’ is a story of political intrigue that takes place in the last few manic days of a heavily contested Ohio presidential primary.

An ambitious press secretary works overtime to win his candidate a place in office, but quickly becomes a victim of back-room politics that escalates into a scandal, threatening to destroy his crucial shot at presidency.

‘The Ides of March’ is an adaptation of the play by Beau Willimon.

This film kept my interest throughout; it gave a good insight into the intrigue of US politics with a few twists & turns. Really enjoyed it and it isn't my kind of thing normally!

A great film with great performances...Love it when Clooney directs and/or acts in filma such as this. Then he's really on best-form. Loved it. Will definitely buy the DVD

I found the beginning a bit boring, then more and more interesting ... but the end I still have a lot of questions ... I think it was not a bad movie but not a really good one neither. Something was missing and I can't say what.
