Clint Eastwood’s ‘J. Edgar’ is a fascinating portrait of J. Edgar Hoover (Leonardo DiCaprio), the face of American law enforcement for almost 50 years.
The man directly responsible for the F.B.I’s operations and methods still used today, Hoover’s cunning and sheer force of personality kept him in this powerful position under seven different presidents. But behind closed doors, his secrets and double standards could have sent him toppling down at any time.
‘J. Edgar’ also stars Armie Hammer (The Social Network) and Naomi Watts (Dream House).
Contains infrequent strong language.
