Based on the smash hit Broadway musical, ‘Rock of Ages’ is the power-chord laden story of two young dreamers who meet on the LA’s Sunset Strip whilst trying to make it big in Hollywood.

Though it’s love at first sight, they must overcome a series of obstacles on the road to happiness. The tale of their journey is told via hits from Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey and Whitesnake and more.

‘Rock of Ages’ features a stellar cast including Julianne Hough (Burlesque), Russell Brand and Catherine Zeta Jones.

This Barrowful of predictability and cliche is mind numbingly superficial and only suitable as fodder for gormless **EDITED**.
Offensive in its stupidity.

One of only three films I have walked out of in the last 20years and I love films/cinema!
If there was a minus rating it would be a minus two!

Well first of all, I can't imagine how anyone could rate it less than 5 stars!
It met every expaectation I had and raised many!
I loved it so much I went to see it twice!
I loved every song they choose, a great film to see with friends and family!
You can sing along and laugh your head off!
Tom Cruise wouldnt of been the first person I would of thought of to play the part of Stacee Jaxx but he played his part BRILLIANTLY! I will deffinately buy the cd, dvd and I am going to see the musical at the theatre! I have recommended this to everyone I have seen!

Tom Cruise makes this film

I had no expectation other than I am a bit of a rocker and having been drenched at download, felt it would be nostalgic and interesting to watch (in the dry) a rock musical on screen. What a great decision! This film not only put a great big smile on my face it had me singing along in no time. The leads are a little weak, especially the male lead who is actually a singer in real life, and the songs a little cheesy, the story a tad predictable but so what it isn’t supposed to be serious. It was also left to the more experience cast members to keep the interest and give you the best laughs and coolest moments – on this point it is a shame they don’t get more screen time and the two leads less. Tom Cruise especially delivers a great performance (a mix of Axl Rose and Bret Michaels) with a surprisingly good voice – left very impressed. Fun and entertaining and one to watch. Sit back and enjoy where it takes you. I hope people go to see it, it is much better than the critics say I hope it dose well – though note of warning, do not take your kids to see it – it’s a bit of a motley crue video homage, sex, drugs and rock and roll.
