What's the plot?
Romantic comedy ‘Hope Springs’ follows Kay (Meryl Streep) and Arnold (Tommy Lee Jones); a couple complacent with each other after thirty years of marriage.

When Kay persuades her reluctant husband to attend a week-long intensive marriage therapy course to try to reignite their relationship, sparks soon start to fly.

Directed by David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada) ‘Hope Springs’ also stars Steve Carell (Crazy, Stupid, Love).

Hope Springs - (saw this on 18th Sept but my review didnt show up so writing again).
I think that, if this film were categorised as a comedy, it would not fit the category as well as the lovely Meryl Streeps other film: It's complicated( based on a similar concept and absolutely hilarious). I would describe Hope Springs as more of a 'listening' film. It is more mellow, less lively, more appropriate for a middle aged viewer. It was okay, Humour from the character of Tommy Lee Jones. I rate it 3 stars.

The combination of both Tommy Lee Jones and Meryl Streep made this film a really good laugh and there were many humorous moments.With all the doom and gloom we have in this world at the moment this film is a must see it will lift your spirits

Absolutely loved the film. Inteligent humour and fabulous script. If you think Meryl Streep is great, wait to see Tommy Lee Jones in this film. Definetely worth going with the girls - leave the blokes at home!
