Emotive drama ‘Margaret’ follows a 17-year old New York student’s attempts to cope with the traumatic consequences of a tragic accident that she feels ultimately responsible for. Spiralling into a cycle of guilt and self-doubt, she seeks atonement but instead finds opposition from the adults around her. The film examines the consequences of youthful ideals meeting the harsh realities of the world head-on.
‘Margaret’ is the latest film from writer/director Kenneth Lonergan, screenplay writer for Academy Award-nominated ‘You Can Count on Me’.
