Latest customer reviews (from a total of 44 reviews):
The best die hard ever
not interesting enough
Shameful
The plot, dialogue and even the acting is very poor. The film doesn't have a memorable villain like the first movie in the series and it isn't really established what the bad guys are doing or why we should care.
As the formula for Die Hard is quite tired (see Die Hard 4.0), you would think the film makers would have put a twist in, this time round. They could have put in some jokes or done more with John McClane than call him old and then ruin his character by making him seek out violence rather than try to avoid it.
Nearly all opportunities for something interesting to happen were not taken, the cast were clearly doing this by the numbers. To say some performances were 'phoned in' is an understatement.
Avoid.
