What's the plot?
Historical drama ‘Fetih 1453’ tells the story of Sultan Mehmet’s siege and ultimate capture of Constantinople (modern day Istanbul).

Heralded by Mohammed as the commander who would reclaim the city from the Greeks, Mehmet goes on to fulfil his destiny and found a glorious new Ottoman Kingdom.

‘Fetih 1453’, from director Faruk Aksoy (Çilgin Dersane Kampta), stars new faces Devrim Evin and Ibrahim Celikkol.

Firstly I want to note this film was made with a tight budget of approx 10 million pound - quite an achievement with great quality cinematic's - An example against films with 100+ million pounds to play with.

Yes the film was long but it was well paced and kept you glued to the screen with bursts of action mixed with a powerful dialogue.

This film isn't just for the Turkish speaking, I am highly recommending it for all with its English sub titles to aid. Definitely an welcomed change to the over crowded film market of western history - Check it out A+!! :D
