What's the plot?
The sequel to game spin-off chiller ‘Silent Hill’, ‘Silent Hill: Revelation’ follows Heather’s terrifying journey into a parallel dimension following her father’s disappearance where she discovers that the alternative town is ruled by a sinister cult led by Claudia (Carrie-Ann Moss) and Leonard Wolf (Malcolm McDowell).

‘Silent Hill: Revelation’ once again stars Sean Bean (‘The Lord of the Rings’) and Radha Mitchell (‘Man on Fire’).

Being an avid fan of the Silent Hill game franchise, I had eagerly anticipated a film that promised great effects and a storyline loyal to Silent Hill 3. I felt there were moments in the film that begged fans of the games to say, 'OH YEAH! THERE HE/SHE IS!', but these moments were balanced unsuccessfully with a confused plot and unfortunately bad acting. The intentions of the game had been overlooked in terms of character purpose and relationships, and monsters - so symbolic in the games - were chucked in at random points and from a film point of view, left much to be desired. A good effort, but considering the original adaptation did veer away from the key Silent Hill themes, perhaps this sequel should have followed suit. I accompanied people who had only seen the film and even they were left deflated and confused. No more sequels - please!

I did want to rate this film half a star but unfortunately, the site did not allow it.
I am a fan of the Silent Hill games and the first movie. I could see their aim for this sequel; they tried to make it even more so like the game and in doing so, made it appear cheap and cheesy. The graphics were poor, the 3D was poor, the acting was poor, even the nurses were poor. All in all, the best thing about the whole film was the soundtrack.

After reading all these reviews i thought this film would be rubbish. But boy was i wrong! This film was great, a lack good acting was unlucky, but only a little bit!
