Creepily Excelent

This is very stylish Film, hypnotic and sensual , layered with fine sense of tingling thrills. Its a very chronological set-up with the characterised development of the girl, Indian, handled with aplomb and surreal style. Yes, a good film to keep you on your toes and a little scary but not much. Well worth it .
Don't read low-star reviews

It just seems that low-star reviewers don't watch films like this normally and were attracted by the fantastic trailer and wondered about the "Stoker" title to be about vampires or not or they're completely unfamiliar with the directors work or were just not expecting a film to ask something from them as viewers instead of just sitting there expecting a run of the mill narrative. It's a quiet film full of fantastic dialogue and performances backed up with delightful visuals and a disturbing story that just slowly rolls over you like a slow motion tidal wave. There are few places the film stumbles and I would happily include it in a list of Park's best work
Overhyped

The artistic direction and cinematography cannot be faulted in this movie by Chan-wook Park, of Oldboy fame, however I feel this has overwhelmed the lack of plot and acting in the film. The character development was non-existent, and the film never really took off. And the finish was a bit of a dam squib. Just scrapes in with two stars
