Based on an inspirational true story, ‘The Sapphires’ is set against a backdrop of political upheaval, civil rights breakthroughs and unforgettable music in the late 1960’s.
When Australian Aboriginal all-girl group ‘The Sapphires’ are discovered by a talent scout Dave (‘The IT Crowd’s’ Chris O’Dowd) in their remote outback mission and sent to entertain US troops in Vietnam, they discover love and friendship in the war-torn country.
