What´s the plot?
An ancient staff provides the answers to a man’s freedom.
In ‘Forbidden Kingdom’, American, Kung Fu-obsessed teenager Jason (Michael Angarano), finds an antique Chinese staff in a pawn shop. This turns out to be the legendary stick weapon of the Chinese sage and warrior, the Monkey King (Jet Li). With the lost relic in hand, Jason unexpectedly finds himself transported back to ancient China.
There, he meets the drunken Kung Fu master, Lu Yan (Jackie Chan); an enigmatic and skillful Silent Monk (Jet Li); who leads him on his quest to return the staff to its rightful owner, the Monkey King. While attempting to outmaneuver scores of Jade Warriors, Cult Killers and the deadly White Hair Demoness, Ni Chang (Li Bing Bing), Jason learns about honor, loyalty and friendship, and the true meaning of Kung Fu, and thus frees himself.

It's about time these two martial arts ledgends got together.
I love Kung Fu and are big fans of Bruce, Jet and Jackie and this film comnines two of them, Jackies humour and Jet's brilliance.
I was quite surprised at how good this film was, I thought after seeing Rush Hour 3 jackie had lost it a bit and needed to retire, how wrong I was, he was utter class in this and the fight scenes were amazing.
A tad bit cheesy but what do you expect from a chinese based film so that can't be criticised, just admired.
A real spectacle of a film go see quick.

i gave it 5 stars as i love these kinda movies! but one thing, they must never ever combine two amazing martial arts actors such as jet li and jackie chan. otherwise, it kills the movie as they are both very distinguished talented artists. but good one though as it balanced the scenes with combined seriousness and fun. but loved the movie, coz one:the jason guy is so adorable, two:great martial arts as they always inspire me and lastly:great humour. i'd recommend these to those who wants a good night laughing and great fun with martial arts. enjoy!!!

Why are there not more stars for me to use here!!
This film IS for girls, as I went, and ABSOLUTELY loved it. If there had been another showing after the one I went to, i would have gone back in to see it all again.
