This is not a great film but it will keep you amused. I would not describe it as hilarious or even very funny. Ricky Gervais plays, as ever, Ricky Gervais and although I am a fan of his comedy, I do not think this is him at his best. It is a very simple story with a bit of romance thrown in for good measure. The film is worth seeing but you will not be splitting your sides with laughter here.
