Daniel Day-Lewis, Penélope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman
What´s the plot?
From the team behind ‘Chicago’ ‘Nine’ is a vibrant musical staring Daniel Day-Lewis as world famous film director Guido Contini.

Based on the Tony award winning musical, and with an all-star cast, Nine follows Guido as he struggles to balance his personal and professional life. Frustrated creatively, Guido also has to manage a series of women - including his wife (Marion Cotillard), his mistress (Penelope Cruz), his muse (Nicole Kidman), his costume designer (Judi Dench), a young journalist (Kate Hudson) and his mother (Sophia Loren).

If you liked ‘Chicago’ and ‘8 ½’, you’ll love ‘Nine’.

I actualy enjoyed Nine. I thought it was a good film. I thought it wouldn't be any good because of the reviews and it didn't win anything at the Globes but i was pleasently surprised! it doesn't have the most interesting plot, its basicly about the directors life but that didn't make it boring.

I think Penelope Cruz is great and she was really funny in it and Judi Dench. All the cast where good. Wasn't that fussed on Daniel Day-Lewis's singing abilitys but apart from that i didn't think it was as bad as people have been saying it is. Its worth a watch.

What a waste of money!

I saw the advertisements for this film on television and thought that it looked really good, especially as it is by the same creators as "Chicago",so I went to watch it with a friend as soon as it came out. It is probably the worst film I have ever seen in my entire life. The plot is confusuing, theres not really a storyline, and it just goes back and forth from people singing and dancing around to a film director struggling with his career.

I would not recommend this film to anybody as it was a huge let down and a huge waste of money! It was so bad that when the film finished the majority of other people who were in the screen with me were mumbling to eachother that they wished the had gone and watched something else instead.

If i had to give this film a rating out of ten it would be a big fat ZERO.
