What´s the plot?

The wait is over - Batman is back!

Christian Bale is back as the legendary crime fighter Batman, who is taking on Gotham’s evil new mastermind, The Joker (Heath Ledger).

‘The Dark Knight’ follows on from ‘Batman Begins’ seeing Bruce Wayne’s alter ego taking to the streets and one by one putting the bad guys behind bars while making Gotham a safer place. But there’s a new criminal in town with every intention of ruining Batman’s crusade and bringing the city under his own control. The Joker’s psychotic insanity spreads fear across the city, rallying an army of followers to join his campaign and kill Batman in the process.

‘The Dark Knight’ also co-stars Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman as key figures supporting Bruce Wayne in his crusade against crime. Gary Oldman returns as Commissioner Gordon and Aaron Eckhart leads as the new District Attorney, Harvey Dent.

A truly great movie. For me and many others this is the most great, entertaining movie this year.

Tho some parts are dragging you soon forgive it as its brilliant cast and witty one liners are what makes this film a great film.

The action scenes are intense at times and may be unsuitable for very young children, tho the scenes are not graphic enough to question the rating.

If you love batman you'll love this, if you are fans of any of the actors you'll love this. The new refreshing look on charactes such as the joker are amazing, the newer one being less comic book and more of a genuine threat!

Heath Ledger is amazing in this as amazing as he was in brokeback mountain.

This film is amazing on the big screen and is very well deserved to be the most succesful film of 2008. !

Batman Boring

I agree with what Boozie wrote about this film. It wasn't that good and that was hugely disappointing becasue i thought Batman Begins was awesome, but this wasn't, for a start for me it was too long and there didn't seem to be a constrcuted plot of substance, it was all cobbled together with just the Joker causing Mayhem for the sake of it making it repetitive. Another criticism is that it didn't define what was right and wrong between Batman and the Joker and that it came across as though the film conveyed violence as we don't even see what happens to the Joker when he is caught.
But i don't think the film was all bad though. Heath Ledgers performance in particualar was phenomenal and i liked the non-diegetic sound (music outside the text) which built up the tension when the joker was around and even some of the action sequences were good, in particualar when Batman goes to Hong Kong but overall even these good points couldn't save the movie of a disappointing franchise. There were things to adimire but i can't say i really enjoyed it.

outstanding!!!

Brilliant.Fantastic.The Dark Knight is one of the best films I have ever seen period. The brilliant Christian Bale is back as the caped crusader but as I'm sure you've read Heath Ledger as the Joker is absolutley phenomonal. He truly does put in his best ever performance as the psychotic Joker, which makes his passing even more the upsetting as he without a doubt would have become one of the biggest Hollywood stars EVER.
As for the remaining cast Aaron Eckhart is impressive as Harvey Dent and Gary Oldman,Morgan Freeman and Micheal Caine always put in a good performace.
The film is highly entertaining and ive already been to see it twice.Get out and see it now, even if youre not a fan of the Batman franchise you will love this.
