For an ogre, Shrek’s life has been pretty eventful - challenging an evil dragon, rescuing a beautiful princess, saving his in-laws’ kingdom. But now things are a little dull, and instead of scaring villagers he is reduced to autographing pitchforks.

So he jumps at the chance of seeing some action with Rumpelstiltskin. However, he soon finds himself in an alternate world where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Fiona is nowhere to be found. Now Shrek has to put things right, and get his old life and his true love back.

I don't understand bad reviews. Shrek as good as before. Greater effects in 3D great plot! Shame there will be no more! If you are a Shrek fun just go and see it you won't regret!

Short and plot-less, Shrek Forever After is a disappointing installment in the Shrek Saga. For me, the Shrek franchise dried up after the second movie. But even lovers of Shrek will not like this film as the plot is light-years apart from anything of the Shrek ilk. Having taken the day Shrek rescued Fiona from Shrek in return for a day of him being a 'real' ogre again, Rumpelstiltskin (who hardly fits into the plot at all) begins counting down the time that Shrek has left to get back that day and have Fiona safe. In an alternate place, he discovers that, if he never had saved Fiona (which now, he hasn't ever. It's a little confusing for the little ones, and the big ones!) she no longer recognizes him. And the only way to break the contract and get her back - true love's kiss. Cleché and drab, Shrek is a disappointing 90 minutes with poor 3D and a disappointing plot. The kids may like it, but if they have any taste, they won't, and it's certainly not enjoyable for the rest of the family.
