A hard hitting drama about 1980’s Romania.
‘4 Months, 3 weeks, 2 Days’ is the story of Gabita, a young Romanian woman illegally trying to obtain a late term abortion in this communist-run country when abortion and even contraception were punishable by imprisonment. Her roommate Otilia is central to helping, putting her own freedom at risk.
Nominated for 4 European Film Awards including Best Picture, ‘4 Months, 3 weeks, 2 days’ is a graphic real life depiction of what it was like living under communist rule in Eastern Europe during the 1980’s.
