Colin Farrell, Ralph Fiennes, Brendan Gleeson
What´s the plot?
Two trained hit men, one medieval city, and a lot of free time!
Colin Farrell (“Miami Vice”) stars in the dark comedy ‘In Bruges’. ‘In Bruges’ is a tale of two hit men who are ordered on holiday to the gothic city of Bruges to await further orders. Violent medieval art, tourists and a dwarf adult film actor provide a back drop to a very dark comedy.

If I had only one film I could have watched so far this year, In Bruges would have been it. That puts it over and above some great films this year like No Country For Old Men, Before the Devil Knows Your Dead and Persepolis.
Why? The performances by Farrell and Gleeson are top drawer with the chemistry between them working superbly in a touching yet never corny way. Fiennes plays the best gangster boss I have ever seen and gives the role a totally different treatment from similar roles found in countless movies before. Love interest Clemence Poesy manages to be delightful yet convincing as, like everyone else in this movie, she has her own morally-dubious side.
The film is very funny, very dark, very moving and totally unpredictable. I haven't yet read a review or promotion of it that seems to do it justice, so go see and make up your own mind.
best film of the year (so far)

A complete surprise for me, I had heard very little about this movie, but this fabulous black comedy absolutely knocked me out. I really cannot see any other film being as good as this this year. It's as funny and lovable as Withnail and I and just as quotable. It looks beautiful and I can't wait to go to Bruges for a holiday now. Colin Farrell has never been better, indeed every one excels in the acting department. I really would not be surprised if many awards come its way.
It seems to me that positive word of mouth is putting bums on seats and bringing Bruges the healthy box office it truly deserves. Its a joy.
why would you want to waste your money on this????

this is the WORST film ever made!!! i thought id seen the worst when i watched Zodiac but this tops it by a million times. im sure a blind bandit could have written a better script. if this is supposed 2 be a comedy then id hade to see what the directors idea of a thriller is supposed2 b like. what is with the story line??!!! and the amount of swearing is just ridiculous!!! trust me this is rubbish. stick to friends if you want a good laugh.

Welcome to the world of Georgia Nicholson, a 15 year old with the usual gripes of life, nosy parents, an annoying younger sister and a terrible school uniform!
