From the director of ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ and based on Neil Gaiman's international best-selling book, comes this incredible animated adventure!
Coraline Jones (Dakota Fanning) is bored in her new home until she discovers a secret door that leads into a parallel world and an alternate version of her life. On the surface, the world behind the door is eerily similar to her real life and the people in it – only much better. But when this seemingly perfect world becomes dangerous, and her other parents try to trap her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination and bravery to escape this increasingly perilous world – and save her real world family.
If you liked ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ and ‘Toy Story’, you’ll love ‘Coraline’.
‘Coraline’ – showing at your local cinema.
Contains mild threat and scary scenes and one use of mild language.

Scary, even for me! But good all the same
Having said that, it was a good film - visually stunning. And, even though it is a kids film so I knew how it had to end, it still managed to keep me on the edge of my seat. So yes, it's a good watch - but don't let your children see it if you know they scare easy!
eeh?
an absolute feast for the eyes, but im not desperate to go and buy this one on dvd.
To start with i knew it would be weird becuase i had read reviews of the book by Neil Gaiman as well as some of his other books e.g. startdust, sandman etc.
But,
for a kids film this is abit much, and im not supprised the younger kids dont seem to have enjoyed it as much as expected.i could see my brother was abit on edge in the cinema(no matter how much he said he liked it)!
i really really really went in the cinema wanting to love it but i found it hard to even like it.
Its one of those films where if it was on tv in the afternoon at the weekend id watch it cause it was on. but i would advise against letting kids watch it on their own at least the first time round.
Dark and scary!
