A tale of heartbreak

The journey through the film takes the viewer on an emotional roller coaster, made all the more potent by knowing that it is based in truth and was the life for many people at that time. The strength of Georgiana is astounding and leaves you wondering what you would do in her situation. A beautifully produced film that can sit alongside other classics like Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre.

This film was thoroughly enjoyable, the choice of Actors & Actresses and the roles they played really did the film justice.
The Duchess was a fantastic movie, well played by Keira Knightley. Very touching storyline, one actually has a lot of symathy for the role that Keira plays. I would recommend this movie to those who enjoy period dramas and those who liked Pride and Prejudice.
