A clever idea that could have been taken much further, as illustrated by Toy Story, for instance. Officer Dooley (Scott Caan) offered an excellent storyline, demonstrated by the events in the police station. Instead it got bogged down in a formulaic storyline, with a formulaic cast and a predictable ending. Possibly worth watching on a dull & wet afternoon.

Great fun for the child in you

If you're not mentally too old and miserable to appreciate this film then you'll love it! Initially I thought it would be something a little 'silly', but the tears streaming down my face said otherwise. It was hilarious and was laughing from the beginning to the last quartre. It dwindled a bit at the end because the writer decided to do the 'this film has a meaning' thing, and was a little disappointed I wasn't in hysterics at the end, but all in all a nice film. Great for the family.
