I thought this was going to be good from seeing all of the awards that it got like at the oscars and The Academy Awards.
But i didnt realise how sad and upsetting it would be.
don't get me wrong it was an amazing movie, but it brought me to tears .
the actors actually look as though they are going through that type of abuse.
very unbelievably good.
would recommend if you can hold in tears (:

Moving Film

I don\'t understand the first few viewers who complained about the film not having a feel good factor. If they had bothered to read the synopsis you would have seen from that that this was not really meant to be a feel good film. Some scenes were upsetting but not enough to get up and walk out on the film for. It was these scenes that made it all the more harrowing and shows what some people really do have to go through in real life.
I for one thought the film was very good and thought provoking. A definate must see.

I found the film to be thought provoking and not all movies are supposed to have a feel good factor i.e(mississippi burning)or the lena baker story. It captures the rawness of the book it was adapted from and makes you realise that there are people who are going through unimaginable horrors.
im sorry but for those people who said the film was awfull just because it didnt have a feel good factor are plain silly!!
The book is quite good and in no way is it written for a feel good girly read. But is quite gritty.
