What´s the plot?

Sylvester Stallone stars as Barney Ross, the leader of a group of elite mercenaries in the hard-hitting action thriller, ‘The Expendables’. When the team are hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator, it appears to be a routine operation.

But soon they find themselves caught in a dangerous, deadly web of deceit and betrayal and abandon the mission. As they discover the identity of their true enemy, the band of brothers are forced to return to finish what they started, and save their souls.

The movie was full of hard-hitting action. The battle scenes on the Island were riveting viewing. The star studded cast saved the movie as the story was weak, a little confusing at times. The scene with Bruce Willis, Arnie and Stallone was short but sweet. It was a shame Willis was underused in the movie.

With a cast like that, there was huge potential to be very corny, but the writing was near perfect and the way in which each character got their own time to shine was fantastic.
In brief: Never has the storm-trooper effect been played out so well!

I think for this film you have to like action films and not be to fussed about it being amazing acting and not watch it saying as if.
I really did like this film and wanted to see more and more of some characters, i know this is not everyones cup of tea but for me it done the job.
