The Orphanage is definately worth seeing! A refreshing change from other horror films which use endless amounts of gore to make your stomach turn.. The Orphanage doesn't need to resort to such measures, and manages to have you gripping the arm rests of your seat and wanting to look away with its intense storyline and the terrorfying atmosphere it creates. The ending is very well thought out and definately doesn't dissapoint! Definately the scariest film i've seen in the last few years! A must see!

Beauty and Horror are not mutually exclusive

I just had to write this review, my first, because of how strongly i disagree with some of the reviewers particuarly the one who said an 'episode of the simpsons is scarier'.
This person, and his girlfriend, clearly do not appreciate subtelty in a film. The Orphanage is a wonderfully well made, beautiful, horror film, No you will not get a Saw IV style bloodfest, but what you do get is suspense, a brilliant story and wonderful imagery. Who could ask for more

Worth seeing

If you liked The Others style of film then you'll like this film. Once you get over the subtitles it a good film with a good, but sad, story line. Not that scary but the characters in it are excellent and I would recommend seeing this film.
