Lars has some problems.
‘Lars and the Real Girl’ is the story of a lonely, shy and reclusive man whose delusions become apparent to his family after he announces he has a girlfriend, who happens to be a plastic doll called Bianca. His brother and sister-in law try and integrate Lars’ plastic girlfriend into the local village in the hope that he will become more confident and hopefully get over his delusions.

Unique and enjoyable film

If you are expecting this to be some kind of American college humour film It's Not.
The humour is gentle and charming, although with some genuine LOL moments.
I thought this was well written with some great twists when the towns folk twist Lar's reality to their own ends.
I also felt genuinely choked when Lar's starts to recover so invents an ilness to kill off the doll.
