Fun and exciting film that's more intended for children

Note to the adult fans would be that at the end of the day this is the pilot episode for a children's tv series spawned from the Star Wars saga, which George Lucas deemed too good not to be seen on the big screen. So a good word of advice would be that you shouldn't set your standards to high.

This film however was surprisingly exciting and had a epic scale much larger than that expected from a television series. I would suggest that you would keep these things in mind and give the film a fair chance.

It's not as bad as the holiday special at least.

Action packed and fantastic animation.

Well as other reviewers have said, you shouldn't really judge this against the live action movies, but, to be honest when I did I thought this had more action than the latest 3 films put together.
I wasn;t expecting too much from this at all and apart from being disappointed that the film is set between episodes 2 and 3 and not between 3 and 4 I was pleasantly surprised.
The animation was outstanding, apart from the caroon characters, the backgrounds and ships etc were almost photo realistic.
All of the 4 children I took ranging from 6-13 enjoyed it and are waiting for the TV version to start.
It felt a bit strange not having the real characters voices but this didn't really detract from the non-stop action sequences and I would advise anyone to give this a go if your children enjoy action and like Star Wars.
Obviously not as good as the Live Action movies, but, then you have to remember people it is a cartoon.

Clone Wars - Don't waste your money!! Very disappointed

We spent nearly £40 today taking our family of 5 to see this film. One of our children enjoyed it but the rest of us thought it was tedious. It lacked any real plot and although the animation was interesting it wasn't good enough to keep us engaged for 98 minutes!

My husband and I remember the original Star Wars (now episode IV) which was an amazing film, as were the subsequent 5 releases. This film does not come close to the others and shouldn't be sold under the 'Star Wars' banner - Some die hard Star Wars fans will probably celebrate it regardless, but quite honestly it was very disappointing to say the least.

Don't waste your money - stay in and have a takeaway instead!
