I took my daughter and some of her friends to see this film for her 7th birthday.I was told by other parents who had already been to see it that it was scary because of the voodoo man but after watching it for myself can't see what the fuss is about.Having been brought up on films such as Gremlins,Indiana Jones,Star Wars,Jaws,Ghostbusters,The Goonies,Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and such others which all have "scary" characters or themes this is quite lame in the scary stakes. My children are exposed in the same way to these character types and do not get easily frightened by them. They may aswell get used to it as the baddie is always going to be a part of childrens films/stories.My daughter and her friends came away having enjoyed the film and when asked about the film by their parents focused more on the sad ending than the baddie.Has some good moral lessons about working hard to achieve your dreams and friendship.Lovely story and nice to see traditional animation from Disney again.

Brought my 18 month daughter to see this film and for the first time ever she sat on her own seat through out the entire film and did not budge once she was so engrossed in the film and had a constant mile on her face. It was really sweet film with lovely magical fairytale stories and wonderful songs through out..
