Going the Distance takes a mature approach in looking at how people who meet and fall in love in a short time try and do the long distance thing and the complexities that come at maintaning the relationship across great distanes. Erin and Garrett played by Drew Barrymore and Justin Long are the couple of focus. Long and Barrymore have a wonderful on screen chemistry and they convince that they are two people in love and that the audience can root for and care about. The film is warm and charming (credit mostly going to Barrymore who radiates a lovely charisma on screen and looks and acts adorable.) The films is also quite humourus in some of it's more suacy antics. The film's aura of this comes down to a mostly intelligent and witty script, though at times is mind-numbingly stupid and jokes that are filthy and unfunny due to Garett's two "friends" who act like immature losers. But putting that aside this is wonderul rom-com with a couple that are worth going the distance for.

I absolutely LOVED this. If you are a fan of Justin Long then so will you. The plot is unbelievably touching as well. There have been lots of funny moments too, and if you have ever been in a long distance relationship then some things will jump out at you moret han at other people. It's a must see!
