Whatever you have heard good or bad about this film it is clear that you need to watch it and make up your own mind!
Personally after playing the Payne games religiously for years i thought that the film did them justice! To fit and sculpture 2 fantastic games into a film was an achievement! I agree that it was not a true adaptation of the games but it did stay true to them in the style and feel of the film.
Many have criticised Mark Wahlbergs acting but i thought he played max payne well, remeber this is a man detached from all feeling his life is revenge and that came through in his performance!
This film was cleverly made and kept me gripped for the duration which to be fair could have been longer! The action scenes were well scripted and shot and the bullet-time sequences were fantastic and very acurate and true to the games!
Unlike Doom, Max Payne didn't try to be the game and unlike quantum of Solace you could follow the Action scenes!
This was a top film and one of the best if not the best game to film adaptations!!
