Weird Film, really didn't like it at all. I generally like Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz. They played their parts quite well I suppose. But the film just got stranger and stranger as it went on, to the point where I was completely like 'what the hell is going on!' My view is: Don't waste your time xxx
the book is soooooooo much better

read the book and can't believe a book has been so badly adapted
to much on the spirit friends, (not in the book) nothing about the lengths the murdered girl goes to to catch her mureder (as was the book)
in fact big disappoinment
wasted my money only stuck with it in the hope it would "get to the point"
miss it, trust me

What a beautifully made film - nice pace and very cinematic. The 70's decade was accurately depicted with the fashion and house decor of the time. Saoirse Ronan was excellent playing Susie Salmon. So glad that there was a good story to this film and now I want to buy the book. I was the last one leaving as I love to see all of the credits. I wanted to know where the location was and the details of the music of Brian Eno. It was a truly an emotional and uplifting film. I highly recommend it to those of you who value and appreciate a good story!
