Well having read the other reviews I've decided that I must be a very immature 52 year old because I loved it! Maybe it's because, as a child, I was one of the geeky, uncool kids.
It's not War and Peace, it's not Citizen Kane, it is what you'd expect from the title...a charming, funny, silly way to spend an hour and a half.
The animation is, at times, absolutely phenomenal! The scene near the beginning when the giant goldfish bowl rolls through the funfair is incredible. You would swear it is live action if except for the fact that it is, well... a giant goldfish bowl rolling through a funfair!

One for the children

This is certainly one for the children, although that is not to say I did not find it entertaining.
The plot was different and the film at 90 minutes, not over long for a 5 year old.
We intended to see Up (3d), but could not get tickets. In some respects, I am pleased as we would not have seen meatballs and that would have been a shame.
Oh well, I guess we will have to do it all again next weekend with Up (3d), whether the children like it or not :)
