If you are looking to leave your brain at home and sit in fron of a film then this is one to watch.
Quite funny
Not particularly realistic
But good escapism

We went because other reviews said that this was the kinda film that you thought you were gonna dislike but came out impressed. Well, well-armed with positive reviews, we went in with high hopes and came out the other way round. This is the film where the 'American guy with the bizarre upper-class english accent meets the English guy with a simply appalling southern-drawl'. Kinda sums the film up where the starring role was..... the scenery. McConaughey has obviously taken his agent's advice and stayed in the gym 'cos no amount of a work is ever going to improve his acting skills...and quite where he got that american accent from was beyond us. Still, keep working on the pecks Matthew. Kate Hudson had to deal with a lousy script, the jokes were laboured and the plot had a story line which made you care not one jot....If you're going 'light and fluffy' at least get some proper comedic actors who know about timing and giv'em a decent script. A film to waste time with if the weather is cold and wet which, given April in London, is probably why this film is doing business.....:-)))

I was looking forward to this film then read the reviews in the papers slating it which did put me off. Eventually went to see it and was happy I did, which shows you to not always take on board what the critics say. The mood you are in sometimes dictates what you will enjoy and if you have had a hard day/week and just want to unwind then this is the film for you. It's a fun film and is good light hearted entertainment. Who cares that you don't have to use your brain much, thats the whole point with films like these, take it for what it is and enjoy it ps Ray Winstone's American accent is the equivalent of Don Cheadle's London accent in Oceans 11/12/13, shocking
