It’s 1987 and for college graduate James Brennan the future is bright. He is fresh from college and about to embark on his dream trip around Europe; things couldn’t be more perfect.
That is until, the Reagan recession hits and his dad loses his job. The new family budget leads to James’ dream summer in Europe falling off the agenda. Enlisted to join the ranks of minimum wage staff at the morally void Adventureland, what was meant to be a life changing summer quickly becomes the bane of James’ existence.
That is, until he strikes up a relationship with the alluring arcade girl Em Lewin, and realizes that sometimes the most affecting of experiences can be closer to home.

Charming and funny but easily forgettable.
Eisenberg plays James who dreams of travelling around Europe but the recession hits and his dad loses his job so James can't afford to go so he gets a summer job at Adventureland to save the money where he meets Em (Stewart) They fall for each other but she has a messed up life at home and is sleeping with a married guy whilst James attracts the attention of another girl working at the theme park. Will they get together? I'm sure you can guess. This is an entertaining film with some good laughs. The leads are likeable with good chemistry and are charming in a way. Stewart has redeemed herself with some respect from her abysmal acting in the Twilight saga. It's not for me as good at Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and it lacks more charm and it could have been more funny. It's easily forgettable and it didn't leave any lasting impact on me but it's good fun and a little charmer.
Great film, a must see!!!
All in all i couldn`t find anything negative to say about this film and would give it a clear 5 stars out of five.
Go and see, a certain suprise package!!
Very teeny
I am not so did not like this at all, not saying it is a bad film just an average teen comedy with the same story line as most.
