Utter rubish. Hated the 1st one, but curiosity got the better of me, hoping this would be better. But sadly not to be. Wish i`d went for a Mcdonalds now.

Yet again the creators of hellboy have done a great job with this movie. The story is a good carry on from the first and doesn't disapoint at all.
Good but not as good as the first

What you get with this film is what you expect of the genre, but what I didn't get was the same level of involvement as I did with the first film. I came away feeling that it lacked 'atmosphere', which boils down to the characters somehow not being convincing or absorbing enough to transport me fully to their world. I felt I was watching it, not IN it.
I'd have to see it again to tell you why I wasn't blown away, but it wasn't good enough to warrant that yet. I wasn't specifically dissatisfied but there was something really satisfying about the first film that this sequel lacks, certainly the CGI is good enough, the script is quite adequate for the genre, yet it was just ok, perfectly watchable and all that and not bad entertainment, and it's still worth seeing.
